Local Knowledge: Onsite extends our collaborative series of text-based paintings into the landscape. Temporarily situated in different environments, the works become a kind of alternative signage, their messages taking on new meanings through the places they occupy.

The resulting photographs are works in their own right, rather than simply documentation of the paintings. They explore how context shifts meaning and how language, image, and landscape inform one another.
